Experiences at Carahuasi — Sierras de Córdoba, Argentina
No fixed packages. No standard itineraries.
Every stay at Carahuasi is designed around the group — who they are, what they’re after, how they want to spend each day.
What follows is what most groups include. Think of it as a starting point, not a menu.
Experience one
The Horses.
The Sierras de Córdoba on horseback is a different country.
Expert local guides lead rides through hills, valleys, and dry river beds — routes shaped around the group’s experience level and how far they want to go. Beginners welcome. Strong riders welcome.
Half-day rides that end back at the house. Full-day rides that go deep into the hills, with lunch cooked and served at a point along the trail — a table set in the middle of nowhere.
The horses live on the property. You meet them before you ride them.

Experience two
The Table.
Carahuasi’s kitchen is its heartbeat.
The hero ingredient is Blackface lamb — a breed raised on the property’s own land, slow-cooked over wood fire the way it has been done here for decades.
Meals are not served. They happen. Around one long table. With everyone sitting. At no particular rush.
Breakfast from the kitchen when you wake up. Long lunches when the rides come back. Dinners that go late.
The food is Córdoba, Argentina — not a culinary concept, not fusion, not a chef’s ego. Just very good ingredients, handled honestly.

Experience three
The River.
The property has a river. On hot days, that’s the plan.
Granite pools to swim in. Flat rocks to dry off on. Clear water, all year. The river is inside the property — you will not see anyone there you didn’t arrive with.
Some days, lunch moves to the water — a table set by the river, food from the fire, no particular hurry to leave.

Experience four
The Land.
There are trails through the hills — some mapped, some not. A walk to the ridge takes an hour. The view from the top explains why people have been living in these hills for thousands of years.
The nights are clear. The Milky Way is visible most of the year. There is no light pollution. There is no noise pollution.
Nothing to do.
Everything to notice.

How we build your stay.
Before you arrive, we have a conversation.
You tell us: who’s in the group, how long you’re staying, what the occasion is, what matters, what doesn’t.
We tell you: what’s possible, what’s in season, what we’d recommend for this particular group at this particular time of year.
Then we build it.
