How to Get to Carahuasi — Sierras de Córdoba, Argentina
There’s no single road that takes you here. That’s part of the point.
Sierras de Córdoba, Argentina
Near Lutti. Far from everything else.
Carahuasi is in the hills west of Córdoba city — about two hours by car, in an area of the Sierras de Córdoba that receives far fewer visitors than the more commercial valleys to the east.
The landscape is dry and open: sierra rock, scrub, clear rivers, trails used more by horses than by people. The nearest town is one hour away. No neighbors are visible from the property.

Getting here.
- From Córdoba city: approximately 2 hours by car.
- From Buenos Aires: direct flight to Córdoba (1h 20min), then 2 hours by car.
- From abroad: Ambrosio Taravella International Airport, Córdoba (COR). We can recommend trusted ground transfer services upon inquiry.
The last stretch of road to the property is unpaved. A standard car handles it fine in normal conditions. High clearance recommended in wet season.
Coordinates and detailed directions provided upon confirmed booking.

Getting here
Step-by-step from Córdoba and Buenos Aires.
From Córdoba city
Drive west on Ruta Nacional 20 toward Mina Clavero and the Traslasierra valley. Total drive: approximately 2 hours. The last section before the property is on an unpaved road — navigable in all standard vehicles in dry conditions. High clearance recommended after heavy rain.
We provide detailed GPS waypoints and turn-by-turn directions on confirmed booking. Do not rely on general mapping apps for the final approach — local knowledge matters.
From Buenos Aires
Fly to Ambrosio Taravella International Airport (COR) in Córdoba. Multiple daily flights from Buenos Aires Aeroparque (AEP) and Ezeiza (EZE) — travel time 1 hour 20 minutes. From the airport, 2 hours by car to the property.
We coordinate trusted ground transfers on request. Rental cars available at COR airport from all major providers.
The landscape you’ll drive through
The road west from Córdoba city climbs steadily into the Sierras Chicas before crossing into the Traslasierra valley — the western side of the range, drier and more remote than the popular Punilla tourist corridor. You’ll pass through Villa Dolores and smaller localities before reaching the turn toward Lutti.
The Comechingón mountains — named after the indigenous people who have inhabited this territory for millennia — dominate the eastern wall of the valley. The final descent into the property’s valley is the moment most guests understand why the drive is worth it.
When to come
Carahuasi is open year-round. Spring (Sep–Nov) and Autumn (Mar–May) are the most temperate seasons for outdoor activities. Summer (Dec–Feb) brings warmth and full river water. Winter (Jun–Aug) means cold nights and wood fires — maximum privacy and silence.
