For centuries, the native inhabitants of the Sierras de los Comechingones used the surrounding stone to build places of refuge. At Carahuasi, that relationship with the land was translated into architecture. A house of stone.
Over twenty years ago, this place inspired a family to embark on an epic adventure: creating a retreat where they could share moments of peace and restoration with those closest to them. Today, two sisters carry that legacy forward, opening its doors to guests seeking that same sense of connection and escape.
Carahuasi offers a base from which to discover the many sides of Córdoba. Days might lead into the mountains on horseback or on foot, to a picnic beside one of the region’s many creeks, into the stories of its local history, or simply into the unhurried rhythm of Argentine country life.
