Questions & Answers
Carahuasi is located in the Sierras de Córdoba, approximately 2 hours west of Córdoba city by car. If arriving internationally, fly into Ambrosio Taravella International Airport (COR) — flights from Buenos Aires take 1 hour 20 minutes. The final approach road is unpaved; standard vehicles handle it in dry conditions. Precise GPS coordinates and directions are provided on confirmed booking.
No. Carahuasi is available exclusively as a complete house buyout for up to 10 guests. When you book, you take the entire lodge — all five bedrooms, the kitchen, the land, and the horses. No strangers, no hotel neighbours, no shared areas with other groups.
Yes. Our expert local guides adapt rides to every experience level. Beginners start with accessible half-day routes through the Sierras. Experienced riders can go on full-day expeditions with lunch served on the trail. The horses live on the property — you meet them before riding. Riding is optional; stays work just as well without it.
Meals are built around Blackface lamb from the property’s own land, slow-cooked over wood fire. Everything happens around one long table. Menus are designed in conversation with your group before arrival. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets are accommodated with advance notice.
Very much so. Carahuasi began as a family place and multi-generational groups are among our most frequent visitors. Children enjoy the land, river access, and horses. We don’t provide childcare — families supervise their own — but the environment is built for it.
Nominal check-in is 15:00, check-out 11:00. Because we host one group at a time with no back-to-back bookings, timing is flexible and coordinated individually. If you have an early flight or a late arrival, we’ll work around it.
Pets are considered case-by-case. The property has horses and open land with wildlife, so compatibility matters. Disclose any pets early in your inquiry. Well-behaved dogs comfortable around horses are usually welcome.
English and Spanish. All correspondence and on-property communication can happen in either language. The team is equally comfortable with international guests and Argentine visitors.
